The report provides a detailed breakdown of your subscription base by their current status and first-order type. You can use this report to understand how your subscription counts evolve allowing you to identify subscription trends.

How to read the report

The report is divided into two sections
Subscription - Current Status
- The donut chart on the top left shows the New Subscriptions by Current Status split into three categories:
- Active: Subscriptions which are currently active.
- Cancelled: Subscriptions that have been cancelled.
- Paused: Subscriptions that are currently paused.
- This breakdown helps you assess the current health of your subscription base. If a significant proportion of subscriptions are being cancelled, it may indicate the need for better retention strategies, such as reactivation campaigns or loyalty programs.
- The line chart on the top right shows the trend of New Subscriptions Over Time split by status (Active/Cancelled/Paused). You can identify the impact of specific campaigns or seasonal trends, which may have led to either an increase or decrease in subscription numbers.
New Subscriptions by Customer's First Order Type
- The donut chart on the bottom left shows the proportion of new subscriptions based on the customer's First Order Type:
- Subs 1st Order: Subscriptions where the customer’s first order was part of a subscription.
- One-Time Purchase: Subscriptions that came from customers who initially made a one-time purchase.
- Understanding this split helps identify the effectiveness of converting one-time purchasers into subscribers versus customers who start with a subscription. This insight can help you understand the performance and fine-tune acquisition campaigns.
- The line chart on the bottom right shows the number of New Subscriptions Over Time, categorized by the First Order Type. You can identify the impact of specific campaigns or seasonal trends, which may have led to either an increase or decrease in subscription numbers.
Glossary
Subscriptions
The total number of individual subscriptions within the specific period. It is calculated by counting subscriptions (including multiple subscriptions held by the same customer).
